Some photos of my Xterra

If forgot to post it but about 3 weeks ago I traded in the Murano for 2006 Xterra. I like it a lot more than I did the Murano. I will have to post a photo of it soon. Also I cancelled my trip to Ireland. With the change in my social status, I dont need a European drunk feast... plus my friend who was going to go has been wishy washy about it.

I wish I had something exciting to say.. but I don't.

Dry Tortugas sailing trip

The Open Ocean

I will be embarking on a new sailing trip in a few weeks. A week long trip from Ft Lauderdale to the Dry Tortugas and back. The thing I am looking forward to the most is a day or two of nothing but open ocean. There is a great solice and peace can be found sitting on a deck looking out in all directions and seeing nothing but blue water. You feel so small yet so important and alive and free. It is like all your troubles are gone and you are at one with God and the world around you.

I would recommed trying it sometime.

The Jedi Ten Commandments

1) Thou shalt beware of the dark side
2) Thou shalt not kiss your sister
3) Thou shalt not kill where chopping off a hand would achieve the same goal
4) Thou shalt not give in to hate
5) Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s lightsaber
6) Thou shalt honor thy father and thy mother, unless your father turns out to be an evil dark lord
7) Thou shalt stay on target
8)Thou shalt not use a targeting computer
9) Thou shalt let the wookie win
10) Thou shalt use the force for defense and knowledge and never for attack

Birthday Trip

Ok.. I know it is about 10 months early but I cashed in my air miles and booked a trip to Dublin and then to Edinburgh for my birthday. I have not been to Europe since the last time and never to Scotland. Looking at the Edinburgh visitors web site, it looks like a very beautiful city and I cannot wait.

My kitty Libby

I got a promotion at work this week.. Underwriting Supervisor. I am glad I am moving up in the world.

A good quote about sailing

That's what a ship is, you know? It's not just a crew and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs, not what a ship is. What the Black Pearl *really* is... is freedom.

Some photos I took the other day.

I need to take more photos and work on my style.
